The TYPHON xFlex-4046EW is a self-propelled electric scissor lift on solid wheels, built for warehouse, commercial construction and facility maintenance work where the machine has to move itself between work positions all day. The inner turning radius is zero and the outer radius 94.49 in, so it turns within an aisle rather than reversing out of one.

Reach and load

Maximum platform height is 40 ft with a 705.48 lb safe working load — two employees with tools. The 91 in x 46 in deck extends 35.4 in, with 249.12 lbs rated on the extension itself. A full rise or descent takes 80 to 90 seconds.

Access and clearance

With the fence folded the machine stands 76.4 in high, clearing most roller doors and loading bays; unfolded it is 104 in. Ground clearance is 4 in stowed, dropping to 0.8 in once lifting, which plants the chassis. Wheelbase is 79 in, gradeability 25 per cent, and the maximum allowable working angle is 1.5° across and 3° along.

Electric drive

A 24V/4.5 kW motor handles both lifting and travel, at 0.37 mph stowed or elevated. Four 6V/200Ah batteries give 6 to 8 hours of work per charge, with a 24V/30A charger refilling them in 6 to 7 hours. Operating weight is 2.6 tons.
